SB297 - Public Hearing held at House committee on House Commerce and Consumer Affairs on Wednesday, May 7th. There were very strong opinions that this belonged under the insurance department. Amendment will be drafted. Next session: TUESDAY, MAY 20 COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS, Room 302-304, LOB 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Subcommittee work session on SB 297-FN, relative to pooled risk management programs.

Please see below the notice from the County Commissioners on the 2026 Budget. The 2025 was $125,772,984 after allocation of ARPA funds. The estimated 2026 after allocation of ARPA funds is $132,276,245. Using an estimate of all towns that equates to an estimated annual average of $87.71 per household.

The Hudson-Litchfield Rotary will hold their annual Recycling Fundraiser on Saturday, May 17th, 8 am to 12 pm. Proceeds support : College and Vocational Scholarships; Local Service Needs; Housing, and Food Pantry Agencies; as well as Other Community Service Projects.
