LITCHFIELD FIRE RESCUE PINNING CEREMONY
Litchfield Fire Rescue is proud to announce the promotion of On-call Firefighter / Paramedic Joey Inamorati to the rank of Lieutenant.
Lieutenant Inamorati is celebrating eight years with Litchfield this October. He first developed an interest in the fire service as a teenager as a Fire Explorer with the Hudson NH Fire Department. He started his full-time career with Hooksett Fire Rescue and has since returned to where it all began, currently serving as a full-time Firefighter / Paramedic with the Hudson Fire Department.
Lieutenant Inamorati is deeply passionate about the fire service. He has always been a very valuable member of our team and has been instrumental in covering shifts, on call officer nights, assisting keeping our portable & mobile radios up to date, and was part of the team that implemented our new in station pre-alert notification system.
Effective June 28th, Lieutenant Inamorati will lead Company 3.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has channeled over $223 million in state and federal dollars to PFAS response efforts over the last seven years. NHDES issued the Governor and Executive Council a report summarizing the work done from 2020-2025. Please see below. Local testing data is also available on the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services’ PFAS sampling dashboard.
New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte has not yet taken final action on HB 1300 as of Thursday, July 9th. The legislature officially enrolled and sent the bill to her desk July 1st. It is currently awaiting her veto or signature. Under New Hampshire law, the Governor has five days (excluding Sundays) to sign a bill, veto it, or allow it to become law without a signature once it is officially presented to her desk.
- HB 1300 would require every town and ward in a city to include a tax cap question on its general election ballot in November 2026 and 2028. The question requires a 3/5 majority to pass. If adopted for a two-year period: (1) the local property tax levy may not grow beyond the prior year’s amount, adjusted for inflation and new construction; (2) SAU central office spending may not exceed 6 percent of total school district appropriations; and (3) bonded capital costs are excluded from both limits. These caps apply only to administrative operations of the SAU central office and do not affect classroom instruction, school-based services, or other municipal expenditures.

Swamp Inc. & Municipal Pest Management Services (MPMS) is performing collection and sampling in the Town as contracted. They send over reports of testing that has been completed. Bulletins like the one below are also shared. The state detected two additional mosquito pools positive for JCV from collections on 6/30: one in Salem and another in Fremont. While this brings the total to three detections for the season, the risk remains very low. They will continue to monitor this situation closely and provide updates as needed. Currently, MPMS reports that all of our specific sites remain negative for pool detections, and most sites are still abnormally dry for the season.
